Description: We will go to Lake Cuicocha and do a short hike or boat trip (optional), and then continue with a tour through indigenous villages and the town of Cotacachi. After lunch we will take you to your accommodation and you will be able to take part in the daily activities of your host family. Later on, you will share a dinner made from local produce. The next day (2), we will go to Lake Mojanda, where we will climb the peak of Fuya Fuya (4.265m, 14.000ft). After lunch we will have some free time to explore the world famous handicrafts market in Otavalo, before heading back to your host family. After a good night´s sleep and a delicious breakfast (3), it´s time to say goodbye to your family and return to town with our private transportation.

Day 1

- 10am: tour start at Runa Tupari office in Otavalo (or hotel pick-up), Drive to Lake Cuicocha

- 11am: Lake Cuicocha, short hike or boat tour (optional)

- 1pm: lunch in Cotacachi, free time to explore the town and its leather shops

- 3pm: transfer to indigenous host family, free afternoon to participate in everyday activities of host family

- 7pm: dinner with host family

Day 2

- 7am: breakfast with host family

- 7:30am: drive to Mojanda Lake (~45min)

- 8:15am: climb of Fuya Fuya mountain (~2 hours), rest at the top

- 11am: descend back to Lake Mojanda (~90min), drive to Otavalo

- 1pm: lunch in Otavalo, free time to explore the town and its handicraft market "Plaza de Ponchos"

- 3pm: transfer to homestay accommodation, free afternoon to participate in everyday activities of host family

- 7pm: dinner with host family

Day 3

~7:30am: breakfast with host family, free time with host family

~10am: return to Otavalo, end of tour
