Summary
Description: In the morning we head to the city of Ibarra and board the Liberty Train to Salinas. During the journey we pass several tunnels and bridges, enjoying the impressive landscape along the way. Once we arrive in Salinas, we get to see traditional dances, and later we walk around town and visit the Salt Museum. After lunch at the community-owned restaurant, you´ll get some free time to explore the town. Finally, we board the train back to Ibarra and return in private transportation to your accommodation.

Itinerary
Tour Itinerary*- 9am: meeting point Runa Tupari office in Otavalo (pick-up from hotel in Otavalo is possible), drive to Ibarra (~45min)
- 9:45am: free time to explore the historic train station
- 10:20am: boarding of the train and train journey
- 12:15pm: arrival in Salinas, demonstartion of traditional afro-ecuadorian dances and music
- 1pm: Salt Museum
- 1:45pm: lunch and free time to explore the town
- 2:45pm: boarding of the train, return to Ibarra
- 4:30pm: arrival in Ibarra, drive to Otavalo
- 5pm: arrival in Otavalo
